have a problem with my car that resembles a torque converter shudder. happens mainly when I am going up hill and go to add some acceleration (30-50%) throttle. Car feels fine under very light acceleration for the most part but will "trip" once and a while, car feels fine under WOT. Recently I tried unplugging my MAF sensor and it seems the shudder is completely gone but the car will still "trip" the odd time maintaining speed at 50MPH. took apart the intake and the MAF looks clean, my question is why would a MAF have anything to do with what feels like a Torque Converter shudder? I will add I recently took it to a transmission shop in my area and they sounded ready to replace my converter :/

update - cleaned the MAF and shudder seems to appear way less often. car will still occasionally "trip" while maintaining speed. on my drive I did hear a "pop" under WOT on the 2-3 shift.

Get a new MAF sensor. GM cars are kind of known for bad electronics. Although not as bad as FCA 😄
