Are those two the possible causes of the rear differential being locked?

There should be a button to lock the diff so I'd sag someone may have pressed it. I'm unsure if 4L or 4H have anything to do with it as I'm not to familiar with trucks (but could have something to do with it). If you find a button with that symbol on it just press it and that should unlock the diff

This is the button on my 2019 hilux

Obviously not your truck but button should look the same
