im pretty sure the trans needs to be replaced, should i take it to a shop or do it myself?

depends on how much effort u want to put in it, taking a trans out isnt that hard, just time consuming, took me about 2 hrs to take mine out

Took me about 6. But that was my first time and I was also removing my engine along with it.

Kept on getting caught on shit too, super annoying

yeah i did mine seperate, trans out first engine second. u unbolt all the bolts and shifter it drops right out no issues

is what the pontiac uses but i just needed a ½ inch ratchet and wrench with a floor jack and ratchet strap
