Seriously? This dude was acting like I could drive all the way back home coast to coast with it and sell it there mann
Do you think it could last me another month at the minimum?
I think it may be able to last a month but be extremely careful with it it could end up being a death trap with the current state of the frame
If you can try to reinforce it
Yeah I'm driving like a grandpa rn lol.
What would you do to reinforce this ? Would taping it be a okay redneck way of adding a bit of life to it. Rn my car isn't shaking or anything feels pretty stable

Duck tape idk
Maybe some wood or steel bars
Something sturdy
I'm just fuckjngpissed rn should of came here first this mechanic had me go with 700$ in repairs acting like I could drive back.home from Alberta to BC with the state of the frame
Alberta to Québec *
You’re going to Quebec?
Nah I just arrived in Alberta from Québec staying all summer in BC was already thinking of selling the car at the end of the summer he was just talking about how when I get back home with it I could sell.it and I'm like so you're telling me i could drive back home okay with this (4.5k km about) and he's like yeah for sure and I'm like oh okay perfect then I just need jt to last me a around 3k kms ms until the end of the sumemer
Ya just cut out all the rusted metal and reweld new pieces on. No biggy
Yeah I agree
There’s not much to do in your situation
I mean that is a lot to cut lmao
Ik
But if it needs to stick around might as well try
And scrap metal price is on the rise
Yeah
Doubt bro knows how to weld so he is gonna be spending $$$$
True
That probably aint the only place you'd need to weld up lol
god fucking damn those mazdas like to rust
Tbh I’d try to sell it and get something that is not rusted to pieces
Minor rust
minor?
For a Mazda
Yep
i'd scrap it and not sell that deathtrap to anyone
unless you lack morals then do what you want
Well yeah I’d sell it to someone who needs parts
I have seen way way way worse lol
So yeah I’d say your two options are get someone to weld reinforcement metal or sell parts that are in good condition
And get a new vehicle
That would've failed yearly mandatory inspection probably like 3 years ago here lol
But i mean eh yeh could be worse
Thanks for the help I'll.check the area and see if anyone could do it for a decent price if not Ill.youtube how to weld ans start a new career
Yeah it could be worse. At least it wont spontaneously combust, it'll only possibly crumble
No problem man if you need anything, dm me
My mechanicntold me the car would start shaking a lot if it fails rn its stable its only that middle part i showed you that's this busted up the rest isn't even chipped
yeah try to get that welded or if its a financial burden try selling parts
It's more the hassle of getting a new car plated and all out of home province that will be the issue. I'm currently alone but if it can last me till April I'm meeting up with friends so I won't be left stranded if anything happens.
That's good
Careful with the winter though it's pretty shitty now and could accelerate the rusting
Imma also go to a lift car wash and get some liner on the rest of the frames that's good. Is there any part of it that's not visible under directly that I should also Chek? Ill take a full video of it later so you have a full picture
Legit driving like a grandpa like 20km under the limit
Check any other rust on the vehicle
Don't blame ya
Anything else you need?
Gtg thanks a lot for the help again ill get a video sometime this week and send it to you
Alright good luck from ontario
I found a room.for the month ans my roommate is a mechanical engineer so maybe I could get someone to help me with the weld
yeah maybe
Good day!
