#Ticking after over rev.

Right where all the vital stuff is, that’s where it’s kinda sounding like it’s coming from, it’s also louder from underneath the motor too
what is the milage of the car?

i also inspected the valves and the pistons, They both look brand new, Not even any carbon build up man. No idea what it is, Someone said it could be a piston ring buy i'm not sure, I need to do a compression test first
It sounds like its louder under the car, At first it was pretty quiet like after i overreved i couldn't even hear it inside the car so i kept going and just went a bit easier but when i got out of the car it was there, Thought it might be the valves since they tend to make some noise after getting hot. Thought nothing of it the next day i noticed it was still there so I was kinda panicked. It goes with the revs too. Thats my other concern
Its gotten a bit louder since it started but you cant hear it inside the car, You can outside though
have you drained the oil and inspected it?
if the oil looks sparkly it could be crank bearings or conrods have worn badly
would make sense with it being louder from the bottom too
normally it would sound a little rougher though
Yep. Looks great. Zero sparkle
odd
That’s what I’m saying
you sure its not just a fan hitting something or the timing belt has frayed and is tapping something?
Yup, inspected the whole motor. Only thing I haven’t done is a compression test to see if it was a piston ring but I feel like I’d be able to tell due to being down on power and such
possibly clutch related if its a manual? would be very strange but i guess its not entirely impossible
GG @wet violet, you just advanced to level 3! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
My flywheel bearing is shot Ik that, I’m going to a stage 2
GG @wispy blaze, you just advanced to level 4! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
But it wouldn’t make sense why it runs with the rpm when the clutch is pressed in yk
