I drive a Mazda Tribute 2005, and I stomped on it and from the Engine bay it was making a popping and cracking sound. I went to check the Engine Bay and on the Left Side near the front its making a ticking noise. Does anybody know what happened or why this is happening? You can only really hear the ticking sound when you open the hood, and when you do you can really hear it.

this was after driving it when it was hot
when i heard noises in my engine bay as if something broke and fell out
i had 2/6 litres of oil in my car, so I did an oil changed and filled it but i still hear the noise
someone said it was my injectors
but that noise is very loud when i open the hood
