With the newest event now upon us, I'd like to remind folks of the ever-growing disparity between the F2P community and the P2W community.
Here's how to enjoy Idleon while being F2P:
1: Do not spend your event plays in hopes of a jackpot. Save them until a very valuable jackpot is revealed 'and' you have the plays to guarantee it.
2: and this one's a biggie. Ignore everything to do with green gems and any microtransactions. Your cortisol levels will thank you.
3: know that new updates follow a formula in terms of released content in conjunction with the game's overall gameplay. When the hype is high, active-play features WILL BE THE DEVELOPER'S PRIORITY. Additionally, PAID CONTENT WILL BE THE DEVELOPER'S PRIORITY. At least initially. Once the high of the update fades, more afk-friendly features will be implemented. Currently, Lava's been trying to make active player number go up, which means longer active activities during peaks. He will make features that revolve around you having the game open for extended periods of time.
3b: have a moderately decent device. Idleon is not for the budget friendly phone. You will not last 1 hour in the mid game.
4: Have patience. Oh sweet mother of Kruk, it is important. Impatience is the killer of joy in this game.
