Prevent deletion of companions that you only own 1 of

So I've "accidentally" deleted my Frog companion because I for some reason assumed that once you had gotten a companion you'd keep the bonus from it, and I had run out of space, so I thought it would be funny to keep the ones I had most of and delete the rest, so I'd eventually end up with 40 of one kind. After deleting my 2 frogs I realized that you have to keep a companion to get its bonus.
And now the problem is that I have a tier 5 treat which means I now have a 0% chance of getting a frog.

That's a well known (sadly) issue.
Who knows what lava will do to solve it, whether it is to downrank the treat or just make them available with the higher one.
