Today i logged on and noticed there was a random event going on. i went to town to dump my inventory to make sure i had space and the notification disappeared as soon as i left the map i opened the game on! Now i have to sift through all the maps to find where the event is. I'd love of it stayed up for maybe a time period instead (ex 5 min?) or had to be X'd out instead of just disappearing when you change maps/characters so i dont have to struggle to find its location

Maybe a list of current events in codex or menu. Or an icon on the map. That way we can switch characters based on preference and still find it.
