Several different instances of the virus are documented and it's impossible to tell which one you have without extensive research

Purposes can vary, anywhere from keylogging, cryptomining, basic adware, spyware, blackmail, etc

#

Depends on the creator of that specific one

#

The most common instances are for mac users, vipre users, and torrentors

#

The program of vipre itself had some issues a few years back and the Opera Stable Virus got packaged with it, something to do with registrys

#

It keeps installing weekly with that instance
