I just looked at what it would cost to buy gems to get all the upgrades that have limits and 2 of each of the +XXX% upgrades. It comes out to about $160 based on the $10 for 2000 gems
that's not including any crystals either
So my guess is, to get everything by buying gems, it would cost about $200
that seems a bit steep
