We had to switch to a "Phone game" where the manager called the station on a special phone that he could hook up to his mini soundboard and still announce the game.

At the end of the third quarter one of the parents from the catholic school started calling on the other line, just over and over and over. I had to wait for a commercial break and go in the other studio room to answer it because the phone in the main room was on the air, of course

he was mad that the station manager wasn't announcing the catholic scores often enough, and was even madder that I didn't even know what the score was because I didn't pay attention to the football shit, I just inserted commercials and read the weather on air every 25 minutes

I kept trying to explain to him that the manager was only getting the scores via text but he wouldn't listen. Well, the commercial break was over so I just set the phone down and went back to the other room to put the manager back on the air, then came back to the phone call. the guy had hung up

He called back after about 10 minutes and just started screeeeaming at me thru the phone. So I replied "You're not being very christ-like, so I'm going to hang up the phone now"

Another much shorter story, we did a 9am show on weekends that was for selling and trading items, and usually we would put the caller on the air to describe their stuff and how much they wanted for it or whatever. I didn't know this, but for people with speach impediments we were supposed to take down their info and broadcast it for them instead.
