Version 6 and UP is bloatware.
It:

Has 7 tabs, only one of which are the remaints of curse client, the others are bullcrap added by Twitch.
Doesn't close if you press X and don't explicitly set it to close in settings.
Has advertisements for Twitch even on the 7th tab.
Requires a twitch account to use it.
Version 5 and LOWER actually were lightweight and focused ONLY on upgrading and installing mods for MC or stuff.
