Honestly, idk about the responsibility thing but it definitely feels like many games want to keep players by being close to effortless to upkeep, making the game more of a habit than a choice

I wouldn’t say it’s games the players “don’t like” but more like keeping on playing the game is so effortless that the players seldom question whether they should keep playing or not

Playing the game therefore becomes just “something you do” on a daily basis, circumventing the need for an intense liking or enjoyment
