s2 and s3 are both good, but better in different situations

s1 is the lazy afk skill

s2 is great for strong targets together

its kinda iffy

the bounce range is around 1,5 grids

and it can't bounce back to a target that was already hit

so you need 5 targets within range to maximize damage

its also not particularly a strong hitter

being only 140% attack, it isnt good for the heavies

but its pretty good versus waves of light/medium armored enemies

s3 has that same issue

it shreds 3 targets but low atk multiplier hurts

so if youre running more snipers she has that pseudo support side to her

it simply does 5 hit to first unit, 4 to next one 3 on the next one and so on until it goes to 0 or theres no more new targets for bounces

Nah, in most roguelikes you can ignore or step around problems you're not equipped to deal with.
In IS, I have instances more times than I can count where I purposefully avoid taking a path because of an encounter being impossible, only for it to be on the other path.

The entire point of a good rougelike is that it should be navigable by good decisions and perfect play. IS puts in too many limiting factors.

Too few branches and the lack of choices when recruiting are my biggest issues with the mode.

IS3 is also puts a huge premium on Hope.

the increase hope is just playing on higher difficulty and theres already a squad that just -1 hope when recruiting operators

If it was a regulated assortment of Operators, I'd probably find the mode more interesting.

theres people who clear diff 15 with no 6* u just have to know what game gives u and what can u do for its outmost

especially if u just play on low diff or no diff at all which a lot of non-tryhards should do a lot of things can work
