you just look at the skills of the weapons in your grid but still not sure how the wiki or the calculator in-game isnβt helping in this regard when contextually they have celeste grid building overviews as well as raid setups for credo that have 1-2 PnS slotted in depending on the setup
if you dont have certain characters you just go through diff setups to find the ones where you do have them and slot it in but generally you trade some survivability for a 2nd PnS so it just depends if thatβs worth it to you

2026 Anniversary Flash banner review
tl;dr should I pull?
Maybe. Octavia is absolutely busted and if you are a water and/or GW enjoyer, she will be useful.
Octavia
Octavia is a very good character. The first thing that comes to mind is Hraes setups where she's busted. Hraes with her (and her weapon!) is now the terror of PBHL.
She's also good in non-Hraes burst setups, and might even be playable in HL. She will likely be solid for GW FAs as well, solely on her auto-activating buff removal.
However, there is some nuance to be added here. Her passive requires 50 hits per level, and in a fully kitted out Varuna grid + Versusia weapon you will deal a lot more hits than a fresh M3 grid. This means she'll boost Varuna to even higher heights, and while she's probably still good in Magna, you won't be able to copy setups at all.
Octavia's weapon
Deathstrike for water, very good. The weapon also gives more TA than you ever need, pushing out all the previous cope options. Will be a mainstay for non-ougi Varuna setups.
Apollonia
She's a solid character. Her ability to protect other characters seems to be a bit of a red herring, and her ability to be a solid auto attacker that dispels buffs every turn is more important. It has 100% uptime if you can remove a buff every turn, which may not happen, but you'll probably have a high uptime. Together with her debuff duration cut she might become a backbone of slower NA-based GW FA setups.
While her protection ability was made to protect Orchid, Apollonia is better at protecting other characters that might be more worth it, like Jamil.
All of this aside Apollonia is still only a solid unit. Last year's seasonals have more raw power, but sometimes you need a more niche unit for a specific use-case.

Eustace
Eustace is a playable fire ougi unit. There's not that many fire ougi units, so having more playable ones is always welcome. He is not likely to push others from their place however.
For now it seems most likely that he's just a flex slot in the Atum/Sandira engine. He applies a lot of debuffs which can be relevant, but Sato is also a viable alternative. Eustace's main weakness is his lack of dispels which hurts his Versusia viability, and he's a tad clicky. On the other hand he does boost MC chargebar and MC damage output by quite a bit.
As mentioned at the start, he will likely be a toolbox. Not necessary, but if you're obsessed with fire you'll probably want him. Maybe some content in the future makes him core, maybe not.
Should I pull?
This banner is good. There are 2 solid units and 1 great unit. However, there are some things to take into account:
- Octavia has a very high priority, especially with GW around the corner and especially if you use the funny gun and/or are primal water.
- Octavia is also available to spark on the next banner, the one where we get 100 free pulls.
Depending on your free pulls, there are legitimate cases for not pulling here and sparking the next banner instead. She is rate up on this banner so there's higher chances of pulling more copies, if you are looking for those copies of her weapon.
