What is psystyle supposed to be? I don't understand it.

I've been trying to analyze different psystyle songs for a remix I'm making but I can't wrap my head around it since I'm more used to making melodic trap and progressive house. Does anybody have an answer?

Whenever I think of psystyle, I think of what was sent by @tulip osprey, but also more so the fact that there's like, few elements in the beginning and later there's even more elements.

Though it's also common that I see hardstyle kicks being used in between as either a fill or in the background while the "psy" part is there.

Oh right, lastly, hardstyle elements I've seen, but there can be different creative takes of psystyle tbh.

rawtrance sounds like it's rawstyle and trance

which I mean

regular trance and psytrance are very different

and psycore might just be like psytrance at a high bpm with hardcore kicks??

This has been a question I’ve been wondering about for a while and I think…

There’s different ways to do it

I think you could use psytrance kicks, Rawstyle kicks or a combination of both like what is seen in songs like UYM::DMS and Kamah

But another big thing I think is incorporating styles of bass and synths that are not typically seen in psytrance
