Anyone who's listened to Brut knows about his iconic bass (https://youtu.be/qFfybn_W8Ak?t=45), and I found this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-r1Ou4btT6s), but the thing is I'm an F2P producer and I've only got REAPER and Vital at hand

Something tells me distortion and filtering's involved on top of a sawtooth

Might have a lot of questions if you use terminology I'm likely not familiar with since I have little experience with sound design
