I'm looking for tips for making electro swing. Since I'm posting here I obviously wanna do it a bit like camellia. I can't find a single good free horn sample library and the synth stabs used are a complete mystery to me. Any advice would be appreciated.

Do 4/4 kick (snare) pattern

#

then 1/8 notes before the kick

#

this is the dubstep swing drop part I guess

#

This remix on Mori Calliope Mori's 失礼しますが、RIP♡ by ReeK is the craziest I've heard in a while (in a good way). 8 minutes of absolute madness and i love every second from it. It just shows how much talent ReeK has and how underrated he is.♥️♥️♥️ There are a lot of genres combined in this. if you want 2 know them all, check comments or check the ta...

brass horns are some of the most difficult to emulate correctly along with electric guitar

#

since both mostly rely on what we do to them as humans - different breathing techniques and what not for horns, and different ways to strum/pick at a guitar plus all the bending and shit

#

but from what I know, a lot of electro swing songs are made using samples from real, old big band jazz records

#

think future funk but big band swing

#

so everything except the drums and bass are sampled

sounds as realistic as it gets for a completely free sample library. it even comes with different styles of play and dynamic too

sinefactory also has a jazz flute and a loose sounding piano, its seldom talked about but like their entire free catalogue is HOT . you'll find a lot of gems in sinefactory

yeah, echoing what folks have said. there are now over 100 years of big band recordings to sample! there are tunes with breaks where the rhythm section drops out and it's just brasses and/or sax, which could be handy

Gypsy jazz pretty much never has drums, and in old recordings the upright bass is of course way out of the way of any kicks/subs you want to do.

Again still a very popular style with some hot bands out there. "Rhythm Future Quartet"? Well heck they are good but someone needs to put the 'Future' in it https://youtu.be/do1encCa5TU
