How do I get away from a hunt?

Like, i try sprinting but the ghost is faster and for some reason my character behaves like she weighs 400 pounds

You can start the timer if you use incense near the ghost, regardless of if it's hunting or not. However, it's worth nothing that the ghost may roam out of its room, and since the ghost is invisible most of the time, it can be hard to tell where the ghost is.

I actually got to max level, prestiged, and got back up to level 91. And I'm still bad at surviving hunts because I just don't let the ghost hunt, and play on a custom difficulty where the ghost has all of the hunting bonuses. (Well sometimes demons hunt before I get a crucifix in the ghost room but that's rare and I just die when that happens.)

load into a game, change your default/highlight cursor, colour, increase your opacity/size as well if u want, hit apply, then guess a ghost and leave via the truck

I had time to play one round last night and obviously went to Nell's Diner. I have to say, what a fantastic job the devs have done with that map. Out of interest, the preview said there's 2 rooms that can't be the ghost room. Does anyone know which rooms they are? I'm guessing the walk in refrigerator is one, but I could be wrong.

They do need to sort out the ghost footsteps sounds on the checkerboard floor though!

on small maps thats enough time to leave the area

Because when u try to run away from the ghost u might run into it

T1 t2 ranges arent enough to cover the whole room, so if the ghost spawns outside the room towards your exit path then essentially you're ded

Take camp woodwind for example, if the room is the area outside the red tent, the ghost can spawn near the picnic table, the food tent, campfire, and lovers tent

So 1 cruci there, and 1 cruci for your exit
