Faction bosses require gathering a big team in order to slay them. Usually in order to get others to come, we call in advance in trade chat, guild chat or the world's discord. Due to many factors: long route to the boss, risk of dying, low value of reward, people are less willing to come and help, and you end up struggling to search for team day after day. Similar phenomenon does not occur in case of White Light Faction Boss, Archbishop Zorbar, as there you can always expect many participants to come, because rewards have significantly higher values. This proves that critical factor is reward, not length of route or risk of dying, as risk is higher in Zorbar.
I think in order to encourage more people to come and help we should think about extending reward list for beforementioned bosses. I don't have list of specific items that should be changed or added, this should be discussed, but I have few ideas though:
- add Undead Dragon loot to list of possible rewards (Ouroboros, Hellforged Armor, Hellforged Axe, Hellforged Shield, Dragon Slayer)
- add Shadow Drake loot to list of possible rewards (Chaos Shield, Void Mace, Ancient Helmet, Potion of Power, Ancient Sets)
- small chance to get kind-of-golden-ticket for Minerva-to-deeper's Forgula Necromancer Hideout raft
- creature products of faction related monsters (e.g for Lightbringer it'd be 1-15 of Shoulder Armorstrap, Mangled Piece of Blue Cloth, Hand of Wraith, Abominated Arm, Void Essence, Pile of Bones and so on)
The average loot value shouldn't be drastically increased, I'd say we keep it about 50k. It can be done if we set up loot-chances properly. Chances for lets say Ouroboros shouldn't be much higher than chance to loot it from regular UD, but the sole idea of looting it from faction boss would encourage people to join and help the community.
