(Reposting because the coach I was attempting to schedule with has been AWOL for over a week)

Who are you requesting?

A Duck Hunt Duo Coach.

What is your time zone?

EST.

What specifically do you need help with?

Most importantly approaching in neutral and avoiding risky/laggy options for it, which I have been stuggling the most with. I often choose very laggy or punishable options in bad moments (EG Pidgeon, Hunter, whiffing dash grab), so I would like to break these habits and find better approach tools.

If available, I would also greatly appreciate advice killing, which I have only been able to do off of praying for smash attacks, and playing around can, which I haven't been doing much of, despite its important to Duos' playstyle.

When are you typically available?

MON/THUR - 5pm-9pm (DOABLE)
TUES/WED/FRI - 3pm-9pm (PREFFERED)
SAT - 1pm-9pm (PREFFERED)
SUN - 2pm-9pm (DOABLE)

How long have you been playing the game for?

At least two years with ultimate very sparsely (only ~320 hours), but ive only been getting serious in the past 2 months, with Falco, and picked up Duck Hunt Duo 3 days ago. I have entered several tournaments, albeit with poor results.

Can I VC? (optional)

No.

joining!

#

may or may not have forgotten who i was playing on second stock

tall bone
#

I saw that lol

#

It happens

#

So I notice that when you approach you don't really use your specials to cover your approaches

agile topaz
#

wdym by that?

tall bone
#

You'll just approach without a plan basically

#

Meanwhile you could be using gunman and can before running in your opponent

#

To add pressure and cover options

agile topaz
#

oh alright that makes sense

tall bone
#

From there you'll find way more openings

agile topaz
#

tbh dittos scare me ALOT on duck hunt but i feel like im improving

tall bone
#

Yeah the ditto is weird, I'll go random in a bit

agile topaz
#

firstly UNREAL double spike

#

but more importantly how do i find the space to land my specials for covereage?

#

like can and hunter are both kinda laggy and 9 times out of 10 i just get punished

tall bone
#

You have the whole stage to do it

#

It's fine to legit run away to setup if you need to

#

Though certain characters have the speed to catch up and punish you

#

You can also do it in the air then land with an aerial or something

#

I'll do one more duck hunt game then switch tonrandom

agile topaz
#

alright!

#

truly the clay pigeon experience

tall bone

Fr

#

I don't really know what else to say for the approach in neutral aspect apart from what I said alread

agile topaz

Kk

agile topaz
#

how on EARTH are you so good with rob holy

tall bone
#

It's a very easy combo once you get it down lol

#

And rob kinds dookies on duck hunt

agile topaz
#

noted

#

last three matches and im done, i gotta eat

tall bone
#

Alright

#

Uhh so yeah to approach duck hunt wants to trap his opponent with his projectiles and then strike

#

Grabbing is good usually since they want to shield gunman and can

#

You can also do landing fair or a ftilt to poke safely

#

To kill I recommend learning how to do back air after frisbee

#

And trying to keep your opponent in the air as much as you can since up air is good
