Inputs for what @junior trellis
But do you understand what needs to be input
Yes i guess so
It's a double jump cancel
Yes
What controller do you use
Pro Controller
For djc magnet, if you put your stick in bottom diagonal direction, it will do the correct input everytime
So you just need to practice that and build muscle memory
And I mean practice it
Yes Sir
Recovery is the same thing, it's just muscle memory
You learn the inputs to get the angles you want and you don't even have to think about it
I can recover 9 times out of 10 without looking at me own character
Thats crazy
FR57L
500
Coming
It's muscle memory
The angles are consistent and the way PK Thunder moves is consistent
You can get the same angle consistently
So if you practice them, then yes it's very possible
In that very specific recovery situation you need to bounce off the wall then PK Thunder ago
If you're under the lip of the stage Ness can't grab ledge from behind himself
So you need to bounce so you're not under it
U mean Wall Jump?
Yes
This is what I'm talking about
Do you not even remember how you lost your second stock
I remember, it Just took a Bit of time for me to understand what u meant
But now i get it
Okay
You can delay your PK Thunder more
If you just let it got down further you can mix up your timings better
Gotta work on your positioning
Too much corner play or wasting resources
Corner is generally a bad spot to put yourself, as well as wasting double jump
Okay, so i try to get better positioning and to keep my double Jump
From a neutral perspective yes
You're pretty unsafe with how you use pk fire too
You understand the aerial version is better but not in the way you're using it
If you watch Ness mains you'll notice they'll do an aerial fire from a platform
This is because they land on the platform faster than just from the air
Which reduces their lag
The sooner you put yourself in landing lag the better
Aight, so i try to use my PK fire better now, Ty so much for your effort to Help me
You always double jump there offstage
Also notice how like
You'll have center stage
And then you just run away from some reason and let me move forwards?
You also have a bad full hop habit, so all I have to do is wait for your jump and then I can punish that on reaction
Okay, so its Not good to Double Jump to get Back to Stage?
That's not what I said
I said you always double jump at the same spot
That's what's bad
You always do the same thing in the same position
If I know where you're going to be before you're even there, all I have to do is put a hitbox at that place
And I win everytime
Okay, im trying to get rid of That Habit
Smash is all habits and pattern recognization
Understand how people behave in situations
So your goal should be, make yourself as hard to read as possible
You don't want your opponent understanding what you're going to do
That's what allows them to form counterplay
It's much harder to come up with solutions on the fly as opposed to already having things figured out
Okay, i will try my very best to achieve That Goal
@junior trellis has earned the Novice role!
Ready for another? I will try to keep your introduction in mind
Need to be conscious of what's causing you to lose interactions
Yes Sir
I will try
Another one? Now ill do better
Full Hop again
At my Last Stock, That caused death in Last Stock
Yeah one more
Stop that roll down smash habit
What is that
Stop
Why too committal options
Here is the main takeaway
When you get hit, you gotta think about what's getting you hit
Is there anything you noticed about those last couple games
About your playstyle or mine?
I noticed That i have a few Bad habits to fix and That u Play way more patient then me. Also you Dont often use Double Jump cancel(Psi Magnet). U only use one Jump Info Psi Magnet and then U Look what to do next.
Also i panick way to much, you are Always calm
Into*
One more question, what is roll down Smash Habit? Can u explain please?
And what is Main Take away?
Yeah my gameplan turned into making you afraid on whiff, because if you either swung again on whiff or you shielded. I figured out if you were scared of a punish then you would shield, so neutral turned into a game of looking like I could hit you but on reality I'm positioning myself just enough to be safe. That way, you would shield and then I get a free grab. That's the type of gameplan you gotta start implementing. You pick on your opponent's habits, you figure out what will make them DO those habits, you figure out what you can do to punish those habits
You roll in and immediately down smash
That's it
This is what you should be thinking about
Because you can absolutely implement your own counterplay to my counterplay
If you notice you keep getting grabbed, you gotta think about the situations that's leading to it
'Oh, he's grabbing me because I keep shielding after I whiff something. I'm going to spotdoge instead so I can punish his whiffed grab'
You are a really good Coach, i understood more then alone in the Past few months
I really appreaciate That
It's a complex game
But when you understand complexities and start understanding people's behaviors, that's when it gets fun
When both players are doing that it's very fun
