as far as basic fundamentals go, you have to play with patience

#

because sora is very light, you have to play somewhat evasively, but some matchups allow to play more aggressively too

#

knowing the matchups is key to being successful with sora, as some are a bit tricky

#

you dont have to know all of them, but knowing some basic nair and fair loops go a long way too

#

id say knowing how to loop and combo properly are what make your sora more advanced

#

knowing how to use spells is very important too

#

some matchups depend entirely on how you use spells actually

#

a few good ones to name are the sora ditto, aegis, luigi, and sephiroth matchups

#

knowing which spell to use depends on the situation youre in

#

to sum it up: when fighting for the neutral or just involving stage control in general, you typically are going to rely on either firaga or blizzaga

#

you almost never rely on thundaga on stage

#

you can absolutely use it to try and space your opponent, but because it's so slow and can be avoided easily, you typically are going to try and burn thundaga when youre far enough

#

firaga and blizzaga are used pretty much the same way as each other

#

firaga is better for spacing and blizzaga is better for shield pressure

#

firaga can also lead to some followups like dash attack, grab, another firaga, down-tilt if youre close enough, or even nair

#

firaga and blizzaga are also excellent tools to help corner an opponent on the stage too

#

both spells can catch a lot of getup options or can help condition your opponent to either jump, roll, do nothing, or re-grab the ledge

#

the only time thundaga is truly useful is when your opponent is off stage

#

thundaga goes a pretty decent ways downward and can catch a rising up b from your opponent

#

it also goes really far too
