This is a datapack for the Tips mod https://modrinth.com/mod/loadingscreentips https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/tips

When loading into a world or when paused, these tips will show on screen.

I recommend disabling the vanilla tips in the config menu for the mod (just put Tips in the ignorednamespaces spot in the config.) Additionally, I recommend extending the cycle time a little as they are quite long

This is a resource pack I made in 1 sitting. It has 38 tips covering a lot of the basics of TFC gameplay.

I may or may not expand this in the future, or make an additional one for other addons

please let me know if anything is wrong... I haven't actually played very far into survival before.

also, fair warning, these tips can run onto some of the buttons at high GUI scales when paused, but can't actually block any of the buttons

Great, glad you did this! TNFC put this together for 1.12, and I keep meaning to look at what it would take to bring the useful tips forward.

This sounds great! I added Tips to my pack and put this resourcepack zip file in the resourcepack folder (with the shaders)...is that the right place for it?

Think so? I forgot shaders also go there. Check the resource pack option in the pause menu, should be in there (ignore the out of date warning, I have zero clue how to change that)

Updated to make capitalization consistent and added some more progression tips.

However... for some reason the tips mod just broke for me mid game and I have no idea why. So if somebody could see if this works for them that would be great.

Can I make a mod out of this after I add a bunch more? Mods are just easier than datapacks IMO.
