Prototype Working Fine for more than a Year, I have create a PCB, but I haven't ordered it yet. Its not up to my test I might redo it later kind of busy with my new repair shop opening end of next month. I will post the full Project on GitHub.

Instead of using a text sensor for the uptime, use a regular sensor with only seconds published and set device_class: duration HA will show it friendly for you
then you only have to track seconds inside ESPHome too

what is the usb in and out for? is the idea that you can programmatically disconnect those? or intercept the messages or something?

It's some desktop /server boards do not have power on usb headers but it does have power on usb port
