isn't RO going to remove nutrients that would help the plants grow? Or do you have nutrients added in after its been filtered?
No. Its a living soil system. Minerals are in the soil, and they become plant available through microbial processes. So the question is really how do I make sure the microbes thrive, and ro water does this fine. It’s common in modern ag with more high end plants.
That's very cool, just knew that RO would remove minerals in the water but I guess it makes sense as rain water is mostly mineral free. Hadn't thought of it in that perspective.
It’s a common question. There can be a lot of variables in water (ph, eh, chlorine, boron, calcium) and ro tends to eliminate that variability.
yes it makes a lot more sense when I think about it as rain is traditionally the primary water source for plants. We've only added the extra variables by irrigation. Removing them probably has serious benefits to the system.
Yes! More expensive but high quality
What pressure sensor are you using?
Hey @brave falcon, what water pressure sensor are you using?
