#[💡] Unable to reverse train in autoblock

EDIT: As detailed below, there is a solution in the current game after all.

Game version: 1.16.10
OS: Win

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Dispatch train into autoblock leading directly into station with a train in it (accidentally through automation in my case).
  2. Be unable to move either train.

Wrong behavior:
Before the new upgrade system, there was an upgrade that allowed trains to "stop and reverse", which could resolve situations resulting from misconfiguration like this without needing to reload the whole map to a previous state. In the current upgrade system, this apparently doesn't exist and some maps allow an irreconcilable deadlock between trains to result.

Expected behavior:
Some option to access the stop-and-reverse functionality to be available again.

Was stop and reverse removed? 😦

#

oh wait, click on the train -> click stop (hold c) and then hit z to reverse it -> then start (hold c)

Oh. i do like this idea instead of pressing z and c (stop and set to reverse, then restart the train)...... i like this

@dapper estuary as already mentioned here you can click any train and stop it by holding the red stop button (or holding its keybind) if the train is not already stopped. then click the reverse button (or its keybind). Remember to hold the start button after so the train starts moving again.
in this case to unstuck those two trains, start by manually setting a route out of the autoblock for COM5534 and reverse that train out.
then you can move COM5646 out trough the autoblock.

Confirmed, that works. Guess I was just not seeing the buttons to perform a stop, and expecting it to work by right-clicking the train like the stop-and-reverse upgrade did before.

you can still right click the trains to reverse. only in the autoblock you might need to press the precision key. otherwise it will right click the signal of the autoblock

doesn't precision key hides trains?
