#Friends list - Low Memory Crash

My Friends List is causing problems again. I admit that it is long, but I've been playing since launch and I have done a few purges. If I try to scroll down to the bottom it CTD's and I get a message stating "low memory - not enough memory to run population one."

I went through and purged everyone level 62 and under (some exceptions), but still, I can't scroll down past names that start with S. I crashed multiple times trying to delete people this morning.

That's happening on the main home screen. It is also very difficult to invite friends to a custom room. I find that it gets better if you let all of the player avatars load in before scrolling, but I still crash out to the podium most of the time. It's gotten to the point where I won't invite people. I sit there and watch other people having the same problem while we try to build a lobby.

I can take logs of the main menu friends list if that's helpful. Thanks!

EDIT: I got back on this evening and not a single person I deleted was gone. Here's a short vid showing the crash. It is very repeatable.

I spent almost an hour deleting people this morning. I even screwed up and deleted Spike because his avatar didn't load in until I hit the Remove Friend, and I forgot his alias. Sorry Spike! I'm sure I deleted a lot of other people that I like and I'll be hearing about it for a while, just like the last few purges. Sucks not being able to invite people into customs when trying to build a lobby. I crash out of my own room.

It’d help keep the lists shorter

Instead of having Rob Jo on your list who you played with 3 years ago and stopped playing shortly after, you’d have the current friends that still play

This not being able to invite people to a custom game thing sucks. I'm trying to get vid of gameplay for a map I made that will be in a builder competition and I can't open my friends list without crashing.

That means no play testing, no video, no nothing. I went into a lobby and got the host to come try the map, but it was the high fling/damage crowd and mainly all I got for video was some guy choking on his bong hit through the whole recording.

Seriously though, if I can't invite people to play, what is the point of customs, and what's the point of building?

No factory reset doesn't work. This has been an ongoing issue for a very long time.

Invite people slowly! Dont scroll in the list too fast and when you close the invitation window and you feel that you are clitchy, dont move for 2 seconds. Sounds ridiculous, I know. But since I am doing that I never had that crash anymore.

Side note, if I'm on the main screen/podiums scrolling that friends list, I can crash the game just by waving my other arm in front of the friends list while scrolling with the other hand.

Yup, same for me Arms. I go slow like a turtle and can only get to a few friends before it boots me.
