I saw that you fixed the not being able to reload when moving at high speeds. I’m not sure if this is the cause for what’s happening but when I reload my awp too fast now It won’t let me grab the gun and I immediately no scope. I would love some clarity as this hasn’t been happening to PC users but I’ve heard similar things from standalone players.

Really? Wasn’t happening to my friend. Maybe he js has a slow awp reload. Good to know though definitely helps my case

That’s exactly what I thought yesterday til one of my friends said it was happening to them. So glad it isn’t just me
it may not just be the awp, i was playing with someone who had difficulty with the gripping with the rfb too :/
This actually sucks, if they don’t fix it then this might be the end for me😭

The grip area has been changed, this is most noticeable on the 1911 Magnum, PX4 and M10
I feel like it’s most noticeable on AWP. If your quick enough it’s impossible to play with it now

It’s become almost unplayable for me, so used to reloading and shoooting fast I cannot shoot anymore without a no scope
im just keeping my offhand like a lot closer, not unbearable but can definitely notice a difference

Preferring one to another doesn’t strengthen anything I was mid with an AWP. Dookie is a sako guy, just different preferences.
awp has definitely changed- there is a forced delay needing multiple grip presses after firing to rack and grip agin- feels awful

SPR needs to not be a sniper, it needs to be a DMR.
It's definitely not only the AWP. I've been having a lot of problems grabbing the RFB and some others with my supporting hand. No indication until I shoot and it climbs for the sky. I never had a problem until quite recently. About the same time as the feedback fixes came out.
Also I'm getting a lot of times when the pop sodas don't open properly. I've preferred them ever since I started playing because they were so easy to learn, but now maybe 1/8 fails to open, sometimes takes 3 or 4 attempts.
-It could also be related to me setting the grip button to control sprinting I suppose. I switched that about a month ago, and have been having problems with the other stuff for maybe a couple weeks.
SPR as a DMR doesn't make any sense (IRL the AWPs and SPRs fire the same bullets). And the SPR already has a tradeoff: no controller stabilization. So if you aren't calm, or the controller is misreading, it will jitter like crazy.
That said, it should really have the same bright flare that the AWP has. If they added that, I'd choose the AWP or S85 over the SPR.

Beefier than I thought, I supposed it fired 7.62x59. But I might be too much of an ITR player.
DMRs can still fire crazy high calibers though, and they clearly don't care about realism. CX4 should be an SMG, and the M60 doesn't ramp up like it does in game.
And the stabilization tradeoff is voided by upping two-handed dampening
a real Cx4 is semi-auto, so not fast at all. But yeah, it doesn't really make sense overall, what's in game should be called the Bx4. I think they boosted it because it's an easy gun for beginners, once you play long enough, it becomes mostly useless, at least in my opinion. It should shoot pistol ammo (9mm), but in-game the damage of pistol ammo goes up with rarity, while the SMG and AR do not. The IRL CX4 and the PX4 pistol are nearly the same on the inside, it's mostly just the form factor that changes. Upside is you can arm police with a rifle that they don't have to relearn, if they've trained on the PX4 pistol.
I wouldn't say the 2-handed dampening voids the tradeoff: crank up your stabilization and use two hands for both the AWP and SPR at the same long ranges, and you'll still see a massive difference. The scope glare would be a massive nerf for the SPR though (which still makes sense).
IRL the SPR was designed to be a Sniper rifle that didn't look like one, so snipers didn't instantly become a target. It comes in a bunch of different calibers, most overlapping with AWP, including 338 Lapua.
If they want to nerf snipers, having the bullets curve a proper parabola would be a great start. But then it unbalances a bunch of other things (like does the RFB and FAL now curve too...)
Anyway, I'm getting way far away from the initial topic, sorry.
Just played for the first time since changes. Definitely agree the AWP is off.. reload is awful. Half the time my left hand doesn’t register and it just no scopes 🤦♂️
Believe it or not, SPR has a lot of stabilization compared to guns in other games, but for POP 1, yeah the stabilization is very low.
Well, I can see it having some. I think they might have even upped it a while back (like 5 or 6 months ago). But a long and heavy rifle shouldn't be jittering like a tiny 126g controller anyway. If anything, it jitters too much, but I like it the way it is, requires more skill, and focus on a good trigger squeeze.

The awp and fal are pain to reload. I never used to miss reloads on these but I consistently miss these now.
I’ve noticed this on the reload for the AK.
Seriously. I play back with awp and usually get 3-4k damage with it in a gold session. It’s become much harder

I'm wondering. Are there any pc users affected? Nothing changed for me this glitch wise (I read it affects almost every gun, grip wise) . Haven't lost a grip on any gun even once since the update. Is it only a standalone issue mainly?
I play on pc with the link cable via steam. I wonder if anyone with steam has this issue. Just curious.
Usually it's the pc users who suffer the most
It affects ghosts aswell and he is a PC player. It is based on where you hold your gun so you might have been holding it the right way. They just changed where you need your hand to grip the gun

12 days later and I’ve adapted and am now able to use my old reload. It would still be easier with this fixed
Any update on this? Literally 13 days after you say you look into it and nothing? I hate to be a dick but this messes so many people up, I have to wait like a full second in between shots or it’s impossible to grab the AWP. Like I get you have many reports but this is a huge game changing bug that should be one of your top priorities. @mellow cave

Anytime they do anything, childish people here jump down their throats and call them the worst. It’s not surprising they have very little communication anymore the community on this discord is toxic.
I agree 100% thst people shouldn’t be attacking the devs, but at the same time people are down their throats due to the poor communication. Like is it difficult to say, “we are gonna change this so this will happen” I love the game but it’s impossible to give feedback without knowing what’s gonna happen
