It's unbelievable that the game work better on a Quest2 Standalone 250$, and doesn't work well on pcvr steam with 800$ pc and 1000$ valveindex ... 😦

I personally start with this setup so it's ok for me but it's incredible. And there is players saying that we have too much advantages on PCVR, if only they try at least one time pcvr game, they will call themself cheaters when they'll go back to standalone lmao

I have to laugh when quest players blame pc players for having all these advantages against them. When it's clear they never touched a pc in their life. Some of the even thing pc players are playing with a mouse and keyboard.

On my quest 2 it is also extremly laggy. Im happy when i pick up an item 3 sec after i grab the item.

you need to optimize setup. I have a 4080 and virtual desktop. Happy to share settings... Also you internet needs to be airtight and.

You need a second router (i assume you know that)
One little trick you may have not seen is that you need all this shit open:

1. steam
2. oculus app
3. nvidia console thing
4. virtual desktop

in virtual desktop, I set to H264 and yes to quantitization.

And then you need to go to settings in oculus and select "SET META AS RUNTIME" ---> This ALWAYS de-selects after playing and if i dont reseelect it lags and runns like shit

Select ultra 120ghz (if you have Q3)
TRY THE HVEC for Q3 runtime. IF it works - its BLAZING fast, If not - it locks up. Kinda depends, but on my 3080 H264 seems ideal.

You need ultra selectected in nVidia, in game settings in the game itself, and on virtual desktop also - they need to match or theres issues.

Make sure 2nd router is AP not handing out DHCP or it will cause double nat problems.

Set up port fwding to POP1 Servers - (helps a lot)

I am in Tucson and get a 28-30 ping.

if you have steam VR app on your system - delete it. That screws things up, you need to load from virtual dsktop - NOT steam (even though you need main steam app opened)
So start game from the games menu inside of virtual desktop.
If it pulls up the little window showing your controllers... That is STEAMVR app which you need to eliminate - it sucks and screws up the game also.

But I stream on twich, So I have StreamlabOBS open too. But it sould not make the game THAT laggy
