It'd be amazing if we had the ability to change the hue and saturation for textures. It'd allow for a large variety of new images without having to add tons of textures.
I'd suggest simply making it an option under the edit tab with possibly adding an opacity option too. Thoughts?

Being able to controle how much some blocks reflect light and also the size of each texture tile would be nice too

I don't understand why so many textured are unavailable to so many objects. Allow us to us any texture on anything. Put them into categories to make it easy to navigate. I've had so many cool ideas shot down because for no particular reason grass or dirt or whatever is excluded from some object's list.
