Hello, I have been interested to return playing elsword since it's the 15th anniversary.
However I want to try new classes and I want your recommendation.
I like playing DPS with good screen clear and multi hit that feels good to the ear.
Quick and mobile spell cast ( aerial cast) is appreciated, I don't want to feel clunky.
Good Bossing and MP management is a bonus too. Who fits this class perfectly? NyxHeart

I've played Shakti and Nova Imperator and I found Nova Imperator quite cool gameplay wise. Agile aerial casting but survivability wise πŸ’€

every char will have something you have to get used to

Tho I've been Shakti for the longest time, since rework I feel disconnected with her gameplay now as mana balls don't regen as much as before πŸ™

I was one of the earliest guy to leave elsword for other game

#

But sometime I want to come back because of how great elsword gameplay experience is

#

Until I reach the end game grind πŸ’€

#

And every time I come back the endgame becomes trivial and new content become the New end game.

Collecting ESPC actually helps a lot with nostalgia, if you ever bored with the end game.

# safe wigeon Collecting ESPC actually helps a lot with nostalgia, if you ever bored with the ...

I 100% agree with this. Seeing ESPC as a way to relive nostalgia is the simple reason why I didn't get burnt out from leveling characters, and how I was able to completely fill out my collection. It's also a great way to learn how every class in this game works and to try out their playstyles since you say that you're looking for a new class to play.

You pointed out that endgame grinding becomes trivial when new content comes. If there's anything to grind in endgame that doesn't become outdated from new content, ESPC would be one of them as it will always be relevant. Everything else; IB costumes, raid weapons, armours...they all get outdated eventually.

ESPC grinding is heavily slept on, because trying new classes in the game for the sake of learning new classes, go extremely hand-in-hand with the free stats you get as a 'reward' for your efforts in trying out new things. I can't stress this enough, and new/returning players aren't being recommended enough with this.

El search party collection? ( speculating)

I guess make sense, play every class so I tried them all once

# wary granite iirc there were limited character slot?

Yes, but you have more than you think. As long as you do your epic story quests, you will have enough EP by the time you reach level 99 to pay for another character slot from Ariel. I have every single class in this game, and still with plenty of slots free for duplicate characters, around 10 or more slots free

I'm pretty late to the party but to offer my two cents on NI:
He's actually quite the opposite nowadays. Slow casting (though this has always been the main point in that he casts slow but everything hits hard), aerial mobility through his skills is either mostly removed or irrelevant in PvE (PvP is a different story) and his survivability has been buffed so much over the past few years that he's tankier at 40% HP than a good amount of the cast at 100% HP. Not only is his base HP above average but he also has a resurrection passive, 20% damage reduction, and also a bunch of other passives to help give him that extra tankiness. In recent years his clearing has been buffed tremendously. It's hard not to recommend him in terms of where he stands compared to the other Ravens, with the main drawback being said slow casting that people might not like (I imagine that this is the main reason why NI is the least popular end-game Raven).

You lose a fair amount of damage by not having Mod Seven Burst but it's not the end of the world if you don't have it (unlike other classes who go from below average to one of the best DPSes in the game with theirs).

#

The hard hitting part is mostly referring to Rain of Fire. It is by far his best big bossing skill and even against small bosses it's better than everything else in his kit. It's strong enough that he becomes one of the stronger classes in the game for big targets.

#

Mod E being costly is fairly unfortunate but usually those big boost events like Hyper Punch give one out for free from memory? In any case a couple of them have been given out over past events so it's very likely that they'll continue to be handed out in future big events.

I also have tested Twins Picaro, Honestly I really like Laby's movement, it feels free and fast, those 6x aerial dashes are crazy imo for mobility.
I liked how her spells are strong and have crazy horizontal range for clearing.
I think she had like 4-5 horizontal clear skill.
I can feel the crazy difference between her clearing and my main (Shakti) who has only 2 clearing skill. And there is one that takes 2 sec to buffer.

TP's definitely a better class than NI. Better clearing (there isn't much in the game that beats Long Stocking + Cour combo), much better small bossing damage, big bossing damage is also very comparable, so on and so forth.

#

In the past her downside was that she offered almost zero utility in the party while NI did, but that downside has pretty much disappeared with the recent patch and a lot of classes (NI included) getting their party utility reduced now that all party utility is hybrid.

I also tried the miner class of Lithia. I didnt like her mobility, it felt weird with the lasso.
The skills looks crazy tho with big range. Tho her MP management seems bad
