Mod Meditation for cooldown acceleration, can switch to unmod if you're soloing dungeon and just need the mp, but more often than not you're using mod
gust storm mod builds you ice and fire stacks. mod cyclone and upgraded lightning bolt builds your lightning stacks. if you need additional ice or fire, then frost barrage and meteor call can build it up
idea is to build up to Aether as soon as you can, then you just spam Meteor/Lightning/Icicle as much as possible, with Hydra to rebuild your fire and ice stacks
Frost Barrage mod vs unmod is dependent on the enemy. small/human sized enemies, unmod is more recommended. big ones or even just for maps to hit more targets, mod is better

you mean for Lightning Bolt? no mainly because you'd only get 1 use of it. once you have enough lightning attributes, you just cast the upgraded lightning bolt. its kind of a waste at that point
which sucks cause mod lightning bolt has a lot of damage potential

it is technically better to get the lightning bolt mod since it helps you build up your elements during your initial rotation
since your damage is heavily dependent on building up your aether as fast as possible in the beginning
but it doesn't make a huge difference
on the other hand hydra is a big damage increase so you should always get that one

kinda why i mentioned 1 use of lightning bolt mod, you'd use it on the first cast and after that you'd get the upgraded one
might have more use of it in normal dungeons where you can't keep up aether stacks permanently in most cases but otherwise in raids, where you'd want the mod version rather than the enhanced one, but in terms of priority for AeS and any other character you play, it's a low one

There is often scenarios where mod lightning bolt is helpful so I actually do suggest getting it if you are planning to play aes seriously. I also suggest using meteor shower instead of cyclone in the bar since there are often scenarios where you don't want to get lightning stacks and meteor shower is the strongest skill to press when your 3 main skills are on cooldown in that case. Also having air stall/iframe skill is helpful in many endgame dungeons (i.e. 12-5 crosso, 20-4 serp, 21-2/21-4 doom)
