For some people raid mechanics are a little harder to understand. As it stands we either read documents, watch videos or throw ourselves into the raid to witness mechanics. But not everyone is able to learn from videos and reading. Some require a more hands on approach. Which is typically where throwing yourself into the raid comes in.
d1-2 (serp/doom) is an okay way to do that. But there’s certain mechanics you will not see by doing d1-2 and those are the ones people are most confused by (normally). An example would be orchestra hall 10 bar mechanic. It does not show up at all in d1 or 2 but many get confused by the repeat bar. The only way to practice it is by throwing yourself into the raid and hoping you don’t wipe the party.
So the suggestion is for some sort of practice mode, similar to how you can practice ereda and see how the mode works. A mode where you can toggle which mechanic at which bar you want to do. It should be allowed to be done with friends. As if you’re actually doing the raid. The difference is you don’t wipe and have to start all over from the beginning. As well as you can skip around mechanics to practice specific ones. This will help players who are a little behind and can’t really do learning parties or even enter d3. Yes I am aware of D1 and 2’s existence for those players but like I said, it doesn’t show all the mechs. All D1 and 2 is good for is seeing the mechanics first time. Otherwise it’s not preparing you for D3.
Moving on, with this practice mode you can add cpu’s who won’t mess up the mechanics. Since i haven’t learned doom yet I’ll mostly be talking about serp raid mechanics.
These cpu’s won’t participate in tuning, but will participate in any sort of party mechanic (ensemble, performance). They will not participate in piano.
