I am reigniting discussion from two years ago https://discord.com/channels/428264566074638338/1115457496593743872 and my Mob Encyclopedia suggestion. New characters have been introduced since this first suggestion. I want to take this time to review this suggestion and provide details on its implementation.
I am suggesting a functional story-book like NPC and Mob database in Elsword, located in the Quest Icon, under the Story Book section designated for character-specific lore. This is a rarely touched area that could be expanded upon with encyclopedic knowledge. The lore in Elsword is expanding at a swift rate. Many players would love to see more time invested into the lore of mobs and characters so that we could have a consistent place to read about them. Implementation of this suggestion could be as follows:
NPC/Mob Database:
-Entries range from Ruben-Serpentium+ and are the information can be sorted by region or alphabetical order
-Data for NPCs includes:
--Who an NPC is
--What they've done in the story
--What powers/objects they hold
--Where they are from
--How old they are
--Concept art, in-game models, icon, and voice actor credits
-Data for Mobs and Bosses includes:
--Their species
--Their region
--Their attacks
--Their stats (HP/DEF/ATK/RESIST)
--Concept art and in-game models
Obtainability:
-Players must be able to access the next region in order to begin obtaining entries for it
-Entries are obtained at different rates, and will only reveal more data per run of that specific region/dungeon with the specific NPC/Mob; for example, Ruben entries will be completed after the first run of each dungeon, while Serpentium entries will take multiple runs to complete data for each, with raids taking even more than normal dungeon runs for entry completion, thus resulting in raid bosses and NPCs being harder to obtain info for, especially regarding their attacks and stats. This makes the process challenging and more rewarding to uncover each entry.
