If everyone can grab, I would like it as a way to shut down/vibe check peeps spamming super armor.
There will be 2 variations:
Forward throw and Back throw
And for balance, they will always force a knockdown (unless ledge drop) and the thrower will be able to act right after throwing (because anemos and metamorphy exist).

But nearly half of the roster doesn't really have stuns.

And at the same time, some stuns are not worth using because the duration would be too short (Like 3rd path add "reverse circle") or impractical (Like Code: Ultamate "mega electron ball").

Even 4th path rena's stun kinda sucks because you need to hit 3 parts of the skill while the skill shoots like 5 in a rising arch.

Imagine seeing 1st path elboy using the previous double slash in pvp... peeps would just walk out of the stun before the big damage comes in.

So yea, if everyone would have a command grab, elsword pvp will shake up for sure.

Because super armor spamming would less of a pain in the butt to deal with.

And when you grab, you'll get super armor that is only effective to your front side (like luciel's "chasing prey") and the duration would be 0.75 seconds (can be affective with action speed.)

And you be able to act immediately after a failed grab attempt.

I could imagine aisha would have a slow ranged grab (Like 4~5 elboys long) and could last a full second (affected by action speed).

if u dont care about the games actually resembling arena, for an even playing field gear turki could maybe establish minimally demanding community tourney standard gearset

when my friends and i came back 2 the game we did stuff kinda like

• FREE + NO SPECIALIZATION DUELIST ARMOR/WEP
• NO FORCES
• NO ARTIFACT ACCS
• NO SYNERGY
• WEENIE MAGIC STONES ONLY
• ERP/TITLES OFF
• costumes/accs only used to equalize total stat budget to balance out collection diff, no special fx/funny stats

collection is going to be relatively more impactful due to gear restrictions and idt there's any way to turn that off, so maybe can mandate a total stat budget builds must fall under (as defined by pre-efficiency modifier stat, aka like 30% aspd counts as 70% "total" stat)

aka all it takes to gear up a character for tournament readiness is having it capped + doing the quests/phoru stuff for free duelist + weenie magic stones

tbh there are still lots of issues (some collections being uncomfortably big aka ara +500 def, lack of mpr + dmg means a lot of interactions' risk/reward r way different compared to arena, elemental resistances 4 funny skills, etc) but imo could be worth experimenting with & requires next to no investment from players

some characters have more invincibility duration if they do not cancel their awaking (inputting left or right) and can proceed to use "instant activation" skills to chain their actions safely within active hitboxes. Rose's Awakening does have the most noticeable invincibility duration if she doesn't animation cancel it.

just mash a instant activation skill without moving after your invincibility without a directional input

also, it is practically a 50/50 of your victim being caught or not, seeing the latency of the fight.
