my theory is, and this is to explain it in simple terms
the gpu cant act independently enough in this game & has to run everything by the cpu's main thread first

I think AYS meant an MP refund for using the skills rather than MP refund as in gaining MP for hits.

what i'm trying to say is that 100mp skills will still requre 100 mp, but you'll get refunded after the skill usage.
and if your mp refund is 20%, you gain 20 mana after using the skill.
like how my oberon guard that cost 100mp to use(80mp for light trait). with 35%mpr i would require 65mp to use (52mp for light).
if it was MP cost refund, I must have 100mp (80mp for light) in order to use the skill before i get the refund of 35mp (28mp for light) from the skill.

because ^X would juggle you up instead of slowly dropping you like it currently does, allowing you to infinitely spam it to no end
^Z always had +KD and is a multi hit which made it terrible for combo
the only reason ^Z was good on release is because it had no limit on showing up until you landed on ground
so if someone delayed you in the middle of ^Z, they'd have a hard time coming at you because the ^Z would be guarding you throughout the entire delay time
no longer the case though, Add's ^Z now has a time limit to how long can it stay up

then there's "animation canceling" that you can do for many attacks and it depends on what kind of input the character has to do during the attack to animation cancel.
it could be simple as pressing a skill during an attack, simply moving after an attack, moving back and forth after an attack, or dash after an attack.

You can always avoid being caught but if you arent doing damage your actual catches dont mean much
But also the more dmg u do = the more mana breaks u force which ultimately leads to them not being able to one shot u

So do full duelist, get maybe a Drabakiโs wing (top back acc), Unique Illipia, MR acc (with hp on additional effect), etc
