Tl:DR you have to be ultra passive. You just keep charging until they come to you. MtM with a VoS +11 is a freaking monster. Tanking them is just not a good idea and if the staff commands dont kill you GP will.

not really, it depends on how the skills work
for case of Laby Thunder it needs to physically impact on you with its respective hits to create the splash dmg, so if lag hits EtW and her char freezes mid-cast from lag, then no further hits will apply since the animation is not going through

if EtW comes back from the lag while still in the animation then hits will resume from where she's currently, but the hits that would've happened in that frozen time don't come back anymore, pretty much like any other skill
Hitscan skills would... be a bit more tricky in terms of coming back from lag mid-way
There are 2 kinds of hitscan skills:
1: only detects for one frame and never again
2: the hitscan lingers, actively triggering on opponents even if they entered late to the range
for the case of 1, even if you resume mid-animation, the skill is lost, forever.
for 2, such as FP's deadly shot, where the hitbox lingers, it can be lag proof
well, maybe 3 kinds? 2.5? there's also AeS with lightning shower which doesn't hitscan immediately, but rather leaves a field that does the hitscan job
if she lags, the field doesn't appear on the opponent's screen, therefore there's nothing to hitscan the area thus the skill just dies
[Edit] on 2nd thought, I'm not sure if the field of Lightning shower is tied to animation or appears regardless
yknow like some skills effect will appear at the exact same fixed pace even if you have massive aspd decrease debuff (Laby's CTRL button) but some other skills won't appear at all until the skill goes through the animation properly (Burst Grenade)
if Lightning Shower does not need to follow animation then field will appear regardless, it's not tied to the character
if it does follow animation though then yeah it dies from a lag spike

My favorite activity is to get on els and zzzx my opponents for hours! /s
And yeah gameplay wise you'll mostly want to play passive in arena to fogure out your opponents as well as conserve resources. Catch combo recatch and repeat, slow and steady to win
That's how I got a couple of wins against godlikeforce, who is much tankier and nuking my hp bar

Make the recommendations tailored to a Melee character, and exlude Homing, and HSS.
a lot of rage being blurted, and even if every character has it's Bull-ish, a lack of grasping that every character has some form (or a small form) of vulnerability, whether middair, or in their dives, charge, etc.
and, that some have less of an option than others.

You can see in their character clearly if they're awakened by just looking at it especially if you have effects on in pvp which you should, only way you wouldn't be able to tell and would with the portrait change is if they're off your screen entirely for long enough for their awakening to run out

As a CE main you'll eventually find situations that some interaction are heavily client sided.
when core lazer is happening when you don't see it happening after them getting hit, better expect your core to out right disappear in a few seconds.
and mega electron ball probably double casted client sided. And thus you see FB getting hurt magically.
and FB mashing after your failed attempt of catching, a good chance that the photon dummies didn't hit until he did his first SA active.

But yeah, if only KoG NA/INT side has proper server host relays instead of just one, latency delays wouldn't be a real problem on matches with peeps outside the server host range.

You can try Window + R and type in "cmd" into the Run window. After the Command window is open, type in "ping elsword.koggames.com" for 4 samples, or add in " -t10" for infinite ping tests. You'll want to look for the number with the unit "ms", the lower the better
I sometimes thought I'm lagging so I do an infinite test while playing a match then look back for any jumps in the ping
