i personally finished dawncraft and liked it quite a bit and my friend hasnt really finished any modpacks.
we are looking for something more battle focused and rn we were looking at prominence 2. is it any good? and also we would like there to be variety so we dont both do the same playstyle with the same weapon and same stuff

You will notice the difficulty scaling up when playing through the pack and completing quests but I and like two others took on the prison dungeon (which has one of the mid-game bosses) quite easily in rare tier diamond armor

it's not really complicated to make your own modpack using the CurseForge launcher, so it's up to you if you want to completely customise your experience by just adding the mods you want or download something already made ready to be launched

It depends. It's much easier and reliable to download existing ones. They have solved all incompatibilities, and made all of the quests, recipes, progress line etc. but if you don't want any quests, and you don't add that many mods so there are not that big chances for incompatibility, or some other problems, you can easily make your own

It's not a problem to add mod to existing modpack, if it is on the correct version and modloader, and if it does not have any crash incompatibility. But it's not that good idea to do it with large modpacks, because it can make it unbalanced

I didn't do any research about the modpack beforehand, and I am able to play it only with the informations inside the game. But you have to be able to find out stuff by yourself from the informations. Or you can watch some guides

I can't be the only one where sometimes structures and dungeons and such sometimes spawn on a new chunk and they ended up merging with another.

he means creative mode freedom with survival limits probably, like getting hurt or drowning, I do think there is a mod but I don't remember it's name. It would let you switch to a third survival creative mode by key press.

That is actually not entirely correct! They constantly make sure that as much of it as possible is integrated with one another and the things that don’t have info, have it from some other source like guidebooks or ponders

I created a modpack with Tectonic and later tried adding Terralith to an existing world. To be safe, I made a copy of the world first. However, after adding the world generation mod, the terrain ended up looking strange, as shown in the image. I was looking for a mod that I had played with before but never got the chance to track down what it was.
Idk if there was other additions from the mod aside from this as it gave the ability to place blocks in more tricky areas like straight below or above it also gave a unique change to the crosshair for example instead of the usual + sign.
It would have the additions on the sides or elsewhere as a indicator of it being active to place straight below/above such as < + >. Any help in this is greatly appreciated.
