Its part of the version matchingthing. Would have to ask the projects devs to add tags if they work on other versions.

Keep in mind, CF just hosts the projects files, tagging is up to the devs, and users can always ask devs if they are able to add tags

Yeah the configured mod is in there too. When you launch the game again, click the button called "Mods" on the main screen and find the mod you are looking to change configs on (in this case Waterframes), click configure (if the configure button doesn't light up when you select waterframes then there is no way to configure it through the game itself so you need to find the file location instead)

okay chat i cannot figure this out. I've got a relatively light modpack, but it does add a bunch of new items, AND two new ways to craft things. The thing is, there's no way to know the recipes without looking things up, which is annoying. On top of this, a large number of items, which I know can be crafted, and have the resources to craft, don't appear in the crafting table recipe book no matter what I do. So. I know a mod exists that lets you search for any craftable item and show the ways it can be crafted, even in non-crafting table ways, but i don't know the name.

If you want to take the time, you can make loot tables with FTB quests and then turn on lootbox for each of them and then go into the FTB quests settings and turn on ”lootboxes drop from mobs”

Open Steam, choose Games from the top bar and then Add a Non-Steam game to my Library...
Then, in your Library, find Minecraft, and (with your controller connected) right click it and choose Edit Steam Controller Configuration.
Set all of your buttons to their keyboard equivalents.

Now Launch Minecraft via steam. It'll take you to the normal minecraft launcher, but dont worry.

The controller still works no problem once you start the actual game.
You may want to lower your mouse sensitivity in game once you start, because the joysticks really make you look around fast.

Hi! Got a question! So im looking either for a mod that works for what im looking for or if any modders would be willing to help me out with designing a mod that allows for what im looking for.

What I'm looking for :

For our mod pack, we want something that allows a structure that will be able to spawn where the player spawns (or in a radius that's reachable from where the player spawns) NO matter what world you create. (unless you disable structures).

example : a town that spawns within 1000 blocks of spawn or spawns where the player spawns so then the player has direct access to that spawn town.

OR

A mod that allows the player to interact with a mob/npc to then be able to purchase a "structure" that they can place in there builds to make the town accessable but custom to player placement.

If anyone knows recommended mods to try or if anyone knows a modder or if you're a modder interested in the project please reach out! thanks 🙂

I know entity culling can cut down on entity lag too

this should eleminate all entities except yourself. This includes pictures, item frames, and mobs- friendly, passive and aggressive.
/kill @e[type=! player].

in a couple of my modded worlds chickens would not only poop out eggs, but feathers too, and some of those feathers were not interactable, but still counted as entities, so after a long enough time of chicken farming there were like 4000 feathers on the ground lagging me to death

a reddit post claims

  • Make a world so you can access and edit that world's local serverconfigs.
  • copy your edited local serverconfigs to the global "defaultconfig" folder.
  • Make a new world and ensure the configs from the global defaultconfig folder were added to the new world's local serverconfigs folder.

local = that specific world. global = that entire instance.
