Generally speaking you should use the latest versions of mods unless you need to use another version, or if you're using a pre-made modpack, or if your modpack already works fine.

Umm, Why is curseforge showing me mods that are on a different version type? Idk what it's called but basically I have mods that are being shown that are fabric, not forge. And someaddon's mods aren't showing anymore, well they are, just not all of them. That can be because your Microsoft account is underage. I've heard of similar issues in the Prism Launcher Discord server too, so I suspect it's a Microsoft limitation for child accounts.

As a workaround you can go to the CurseForge App's settings for Minecraft, scroll down, and set the "launcher setting" to "use mojang launcher".

I think it's due to data protection issues. Children have stronger protection requirements that need to be conformed to.
You'd have to ask Overwolf employees by going to the CurseForge support website. This place is community/volunteer run. I'm curious about what they'd say.

Or if you're referring to logging into the CF App with your Microsoft account, as I said earlier that seems to be a Microsoft limitation

My curseforge and Minecraft are only playing game sounds when I connect my Bluetooth earbuds to my device and I have no idea how to fix it. When they aren't connected nothing plays, no music, no block breaking noises, no footsteps, nothing, almost like the game was muted even though it's not. alrighty, tried that but it unfortunately didnt work. took a quick peek at the logs and it seems to be the same thing

i had tried to completely wipe my installation folder before, so the java and minecraft installs should(?) be freshly installed. I also gave my normal minecraft launcher a quick test and it seems to be correctly launching the same version im doing on curseforge, not too sure why it would still be broken after a full reinstall

i also tried downloading the file it was failing to install myself and it seems to be working fine, although just dumping it into the java folder didnt skip this installation thats bugging out

does the Grappling hook mod have any known incompatibilities? I tried to use GrappleVS, a recent hook of Grappling Hook Reforged because other grappling hook mods didn't have built in compatibility with Valkyrien Skies ships however, pressing the key to throw the hook does nothing.

Well I am trying to install a minecraft modpack to join my friends and it refused to install past patch 5. So I did some testing and found that anything with minecraft 1.18.2 upwards running on the forge modloader just fails on install. Not quilt, not fabric, not neoforge, just forge.

The 465 isn’t the number of mods, it’s the number of mod IDs registered by the loader. Some mods intentionally register multiple IDs (for APIs, compatibility layers, or internal modules), so a single .jar can count as several internal entries. That’s why the main menu number is higher than both CurseForge and Mod Menu.

Mod Menu also groups certain sub-mods (like Sodium Options under Sodium using the dropdown arrow), which is why Mod Menu can show a lower count than CurseForge.

Hi! I’m having an issue joining a Pixelmon 1.16.5 server through CurseForge. My game gets stuck on “Entering the world” and then crashes client-side with several NullPointerException errors (SEntityPacket, SUpdateRecipesPacket, entity metadata, etc.). Client and server are both on Pixelmon 9.1.13 and matching Forge versions, and my client works fine on other Pixelmon servers. Looking at the latest.log, right before the crash there are a lot of messages like Item mismatch: no item found for pixelmon:..., mostly related to pokemarts/spawns/trades JSONs, and then it crashes while syncing recipes or entities from the server. This looks like the server is sending invalid or outdated Pixelmon data (configs, datapacks, NPCs, trades, or entities created on an older version). I don’t have access to the server configs, so I can’t change anything server-side. Is there any known CurseForge/client-side workaround for this, or does this confirm it’s purely a server-side data/config issue?

4. Select the location:

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Share Profile
6. Click Export.
7. Select the files that should be included.
8. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
9. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)
