CurseForge uses 3 file release types that devs can tag their files with:
= Release, or what should be the most stable version.
= Beta, or a version that is still getting worked on and may have some bugs.
= Alpha, or a version that is very unfinished and likely to have many features missing/broken.
(Alpha) builds will not show up in search on the app/website. You need at least one file marked as (Release) OR (Beta) (Release) by default. Most users will be using this option but it can be changed to any of the three at any time.

Can someone help me please, so I my problem is if I go into curseforge and I go to my Modpack and wanna open minecraft up it open the false minecraft. i know it sounds stupid but I somehow got 2 Minecraft lounchers 1 with a green and 1 with a red creeper as an picture yk the on you see on the tasklist and so on. Now I wanna now how I can change what curseforge open bc I tried to reinstall all but it always open the minecraft.exe wich is the false one bc there I dont have Optifine and it cant be installed on there also so I need to open it with the other louncher but Icant change it. Yes that is normal, mods that are downloaded via the cf app / from the cf site. Each project has a file id and files have their own respective ids, which get written to the manifest file.
This helps make the zips a lot smaller, its also how cf gives back to devs via the rewards program (downloads).

Hello, I play on 2 different PC's and want to have the add-ons and settingssynced. On PC#1 I pressed the Sync button and it asked to log in via Google, Facebook, Twitch, Discord ... I selected Google and created the sync profile name etc.
Now I am on PC#2: When I press the Sync button as well, it directly uses Twitch and gives me no other login feature. What shall I do now?
Ignore the request. I restarted CurseForge and now it worked and it gives me the Google option too.
But does it also sync the in-game settings of the add-ons?

Basically, starting from 1.20.1 (up to latest version), every single forge i have launched has given me this same error (even if i don't run any mods and only forge)

hmm.....ok.....i just updated my curseforge after not using it for a long time. i use it primarily for stardew valley, and even though i have a large folder of mods, only 5 of them are showing up in curseforge, and i have refreshed it, and checked to see that it is directed towards the right folder. however, even tho mods like grandpa;s farm and stardew valley expanded are in the folder, they are not showing up on curseforge.
so, this seems to be a curseforge issue. and the support link on the program gives me no info when i try to search for the issue.

Last game couple of days ago, I crashed after killing a mob and now unable to log back in. My friend's game is fine, when I tried logging back in, it's stuck at joining world. The ow, cf and .minecraft folder all save to whichever drive is your boot drive. As they save in appdata. When you use the cf app tho you can change where the games themselves are saved but not the app

Good rule of thumb, if you want something to be ready for the weekend, dont wait to upload it a day or so before the ow weekend.
You can manually share the file tho. And just instruct your users what to copy wither from the old to the new OR the new to the old

question, once a file is flagged, is the project flagged? if not then ill just start uploading until one works slowly undoing the update

If a file is flagged for manual review after the project is already approved, then just that file is marked.
All files go through the same processes when uploaded. Sometimes they get flagged, sometimes they dont. It depends on the file and if it sets off anything during the auto checks.

I have a friend who just purchased game pass, thus java, and I had him install the curseforge app to be able to play together, and no matter what his game says he needs to buy it agian when he presses play through curseforge. the overrides folder is created when you make an export file using the app. export files are what must be used as files when you upload modpack files. you can only include mods not on curseforge which are on the approved 3rd party mods list

so.. it says mods must not have projects on curseforge when requesting a new one, yet sodium and iris are present. i am glad, though, because i want to use forge alphas of those in my pack. however, i also want to use distant horizons, which is not on the list but has an accompanying nightly build.
