I'm trying to contact someone about the Curseforge website download page. Every WoW addon file for DBM or BigWigs is showing as a WotLK Classic file. The Curseforge website will not show the Retail version when I use the filter setttings. The Flavors filter and the Most Recent all show WotLK Classic as the main file when searching for Retail. Update: including the download Popup window that wants to download the files I chose. The website only shows WotLK Classic +2 when I choose Versions and Flavors. Update: Details! Damage Meter is also showing WotLK Classic as the main file to download for Retail. I had to search with the filters set to All Versions All Flavors for me to locate a Retail version of the addons, but WotLK Classic was at the top of the provided list.

you just restarted the issue. Need to follow what the bot says, it doesnt say to use device manager to update due to the whole reason your in this mess is caused by windows corrupting the drivers.... aka using device manager

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.

4. Select the files that should be included.

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.

Lan is local, so unless you 2 are in the same house or connected to the same router, you wont be able to use lan. you would need to use an actual local hosted server, then port forward if your not on the same network.

To get started using shaders:

1. Download the shader mod and its requirements for the mod loader you’re using and run the game at least once to generate the shaderpacks folder

5. Open the shaderpacks folder and place the shader file you downloaded in there

I just created a new profile in Curse Forge Launcher for a NeoForge Modpack (1.20.4 w/latest build). When trying to connect to the MP Server, it fails to see the connection (ping fails) when using the launcher. However, starting Minecraft launcher directly I can see a valid connection to that MP server (ping results) but attempting to connect fails. The CF Launcher is the latest release as well (v 1.250.3-17797). Any ideas?

okay, issue identified. I got the modpack and MC Launcher to log into the game both ways. The problem is "ping" is broken and misleading. But you can click on Play and join the game fine.

CurseForge has nothing to do with whether or not you can join a server, when playing modded there is a check to see if mod lists match between the two, but it’s not done long enough to actually say whether they match as it times out

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

Hello! I have a problem with deleting mods from my published modpack. I posted it so a few friends and I could use it to play on a server, and then realized that two of the mods weren't working. I thought it was just easier to delete them, and I did. I first went into my export modpack and deleted those two mods, then I exported the file. Finally, I put the modpack export into the new file area and updated it. It got approved and when I checked to see if it had updated with my friends, it hadn't and those two mods were still there. I've looked all over and have tried to fix it but I can't seem to figure it out, thus this cry for help.

5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be ON to modify any of them! (Currently)

Having a really strange issue I've never seen before in my life. I have a modpack that I make for both Curseforge and Modrinth users, and it includes a mod called Spyglass Astronomy. Players that use modrinth have no issues with the mod whatsoever. But for some reason, any players that use Curseforge crash to desktop whenever they change dimensions, and the crash reports reference Spyglass Astronomy.

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

1. Find your modding folder location - In the Curseforge app press the options button at the top , then press the modding folder .
2. Saving folder location - In the now opened folder window > double mouse click to enter the 'Install' folder, and then the 'runtime' folder. At the top of the window, left mouse click the top location bar in the empty space to the right of any text. Press CTRL+C together to save this location.
3. Open the graphics settings window - Use Windows search (hotkey ) entering the text 'GPU' - and click on 'Graphics Settings'.
4. Add Java executables - Click the 'Browse' button below the text 'Add an app'. In the folder window left mouse click the top location bar in the empty space to the right of any text. Press CTRL+V together to paste the folder location and then press enter. -- Each folder showing is a different java installation - double mouse click one of them > then the only folder showing in each new location > then the folder named 'bin'. Once inside 'bin' folder > left mouse click the file named exactly - javaw.exe - then click 'add' in the window.

Repeat step 4 for every java installation showing in the 'runtime' folder.

5. Check options - For each of the newly added javaw.exe items - click on the item from the list and then the Options button. Check that either the only options are your graphics card, or that it's selected as the option to be used.

Your logs show the amd issue still, basically windows corrupted your amd integrated drivers, and windows also decided to use your amd gpu for mc instead of your deticated gpu...

If yes, leave those there and do it again for all the java.exe files as well.

Hi there guys... I finally updated my mod to 1.12.2, but it's been under "manual review" for 4 days... so long in fact, that I fixed a bunch of bugs since then and have a new patched version.

I wish I could promote my mod on curseforge, but the approval system makes this not very feasible. Since my mod is very large and has a focus on multiplayer, coordinating releases is important. So I always end up having to send my community links to other places to get it because curseforge is always stuck approving for who knows how long...

Thank you, I'll try opening a ticket. I do a ton of custom stuff, api calls and such. I have a single encrypted file in assets. And also lots of custom file formats, since my mod has it's own modeling system and animations

But yeah, that external API might be one of the things that triggers it, and the encrypted asset.

not sure if this is a curseforge issue but i joined a discord server that has 2 servers, one being prominence 2 and the other FTB skies expert, i joined the prominence server earlier with its ip, i then left to grab food and when i went to join back, the prominence server i had previously joined had swapped to the FTB skies expert server. I checked its ip and it was the ip for the prominence server. I have tried deleting the server from the server list and adding a new server witht he prominence server ip but keeps listing the FTB Skies expert server instead. I seem to be the only one having the issue and the server hasnt gone down since.
