Hey, I spammed backup while playing after each session on an old world save but can only find one of the much older copies. I play on iMac and my coping mechanism when dealing with adding incompatible mods was to delete the profile and remake it. I don't remember how I did it but this time the world isn't in its previous state. I'm an idiot but I'd like to play it again and I speculate that the world save might be included in the profile backup. I'm unsure where to start but I'd appreciate some help[

The following files belong to CurseForge-hosted projects, and should therefore not be added directly to zip files:

• Remove any mods listed in the error message from the profile you exported. Then reinstall them with the CurseForge app. DO NOT drag and drop files from the site.

• Export the profile again, open the new zip that was just made. Check for the overrides/mods folder. If you still see any mods in that folder do the step above again for each mod.

• Upload the zip once complete and no more mods show in the overrides/mods folder.

Is there someway someone can help get this modpack working? I'm working on a huge survival rpg-type modpack and just recently got the client to finally boot without giving me crash error 1 or -1. Now, even though I can get into the main menu it crashes either just getting into the world creation menu or if it manages to get past that it still crashes. I have a mod that makes it so it doesn't kick me all the way out when it crashes and always says "mods suspected of causing crash: no mods." It's also very hard to trouble shoot by testing mods individually because I need to run it on a server otherwise my CPU caps at 100% and takes forever to even get to the point where I can create a world. I'm planning to have a friend try later to see if his CPU can handle it otherwise I'm out of options if no one here is able to help. I'm almost positive its a mod conflict of some sorts, but again its really hard to troubleshoot. I think its most likely related to world gen mods causing conflicts but I'm not entirely sure though. I'm not great at understanding what the logs mean.

Not unless the mod is supported in that version unfortunately. Ran into that issue when doing my apocalypse modpack a while ago. Sometimes fabric and forge have support for different mods on newer versions though. So if you cant find the mod for 1.16.5 with forge, try fabric instead since it might have it.

not sure if I'll post it since as I said its very CPU intensive and needs to be ran externally on a private LAN server. similar modpacks exist as well with some of the same mods since I'm just using different combinations of them from each pack.

2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.
6. Start the game!

How to install mods that are not on the CurseForge app

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

1. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
2. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
3. Right click it and Open File Location
4. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
5. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
6. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
7. Click Browse
8. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
9. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
10. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
11. Click the Options button on the newly added option
12. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

not to be a knowitall about this, but Minecraft has announced for the past 2-3 years that all Mojang accounts will have to be transfered over to Microsoft for you to continue playing. They say this every time you have to log in.

I'm trying to import a modpack and it's just...not importing right. This hasn't happened before. WHat I'm trying to do is share my modpack with my friends: zip the file in /Instances, send it to my friends, they download it, and import it via CurseForge launcher, and this always worked flawlessly until now. despite the fact that the .zip and subsequent folder has 300 something mods and everything else you'd find in an Instance, it's only installing like 4 folders and 131 mods. this happens on theirs and mine and everything i've tried hasn't done anything: duplicating profile and rezipping, adding a folder and copying contents directly, restarting curseforge, etc. any ideas?

okay upon further inspection. what i'm working with here is a modified version of vault hunters. the pack itself has no issues. i'm noticing that the new profile (again, literally just a zip of the left, the custom pack) is installing the original 131 mods, even the ones i deleted from the original pack. somehow, curseforge is fetching the original Vault Hunters download and only importing that? this persists even if i delete modlist.html

even if i let curseforge zip it by doing Install Server pack, it fetches the original Vault Hunters files and disregards everything else. i did accidentally refresh the pack a few times whilst managing mods, so it's interesting that this is only occurring after having done that and that may be a cause for this, but i don't understand why or how to counteract it

Generally to save from issues its better to make your own pack from scratch. On export you select all the Needed files for the pack? exclude the per client only folders?

I've tried a workaround (adding the profileImage folder into the zip file) and it exports and imports correctly, its just the image doesnt load on curseforge for some reason? I understand that the way i did it is of course not gonna work since its not an implemented feature for exporting profile icons yet but does anyone know a way to do this?

Pretty sure its a per client thing, your friends would need to select the pic as their custom profiles picture.
