when i try to download or run mods, curseforge has either deleted the pack as the download finishes or has told me it cant find the game it's supposed to be running (i know full well i have minecraft updated to the latest edition). Hey, I have a problem on an aternos server, some of my objects transforms into one another. I've asked for help on the aternos server, and they told me to ask here, because they say it's a "Well known forge client bug". Anyone knows how to fix that ? Yeah, uploads can sometimes get 504 if they are big, it's a Cloudflare thing. So check if the file is properly uploaded after 504 errors.
For 503, it means that there's no web server listening.

My mods folder has a mods folder and won’t let me use my mods

I once without realising deleted my entire downloads folder as I was doing a clean-up of my pc without realising that my curseforge folder was in there. thankfully it didn't delete the cleaner didn't delete the curseforge folder as it realised that there were items in it. I currently have the folder but when I go onto curseforge its not linked to that folder

I don't know if I have lost all of my progress and even if all of my modded Minecraft progress is linked to that folder

The launcher Curseforge uses is the original launcher, it’s the same as the new one but isn’t able to launch bedrock or the other two minecraft games and it doesn’t touch the .minecraft folder which is why you don’t see anything else

honestly sounds like you have some cloud program on your pc that is deleting your instance folder. curseforge doesnt delete anything even if you uninstalled it.

Doesn't really mean anything for your issue. If the pack devs can't help then the save is likely corrupted by something and they should be aware of it.

Hello! This isnt a post for me, but for a friend. He seems to be having issues playing 1.19 modpacks? He gets "Exit Code: 1" for the 1.19 packs we have tried. He can launch regular 1.19 minecraft, and older modpacks with no issue. We tried reinstalling minecraft, curse forge, updating his drivers, redoing the pack, different packs.... one thing that was suggested on google we couldn't get to work was to edit the Target line in the properties of the launcher to add "--workDir %ProgramData%.minecraft" he cannot do that as the target line is greyed out for whatever reason.

Are you playing Sims? It would appear that the initial load when you have a lot of mods pre-installed, can take some extended time, so just let it load some more, and if it doesn't complete. You can send the app logs, so we can see what's happening.

We tried reinstalling minecraft, curse forge, updating his drivers, redoing the pack, different packs.... one thing that was suggested on google we couldn't get to work was to edit the Target line in the properties of the launcher to add "--workDir %ProgramData%.minecraft" he cannot do that as the target line is greyed out for whatever reason. -Reposting because I have his logs now

The thing about hamachi and why I tell users to unistall it, as yes it does allow for easier mc play, BUT it also opens up all protocols / any ports on your pc to the internet. Meaning anyone from anywhere (even if you have a password) can access your pc / network. What makes it worse is if someone does get in, as far as your pc is concerned "you" logged in normally. Not some rando. Meaning they can take / look at anything they want on your pc or any other pc/device connected to your router.

In short: You basically opened up anything in your network for anyone on the internet with ill intentions. For free.

2. Restart your computer
3. Disable any programs that interfere with your connection (VPN, ping tunnels, antivirus, firewall etc)
4. Restart your router and modem.
5. Attempt using a different connection if possible.
6. Reinstall Curseforge.

Timeout & Webclient errors

Timeout/WebClient errors are a result of networking issues with your computer. You can try a few things to fix it:

1. Restart your computer
2. Restart your router/modem
3. Try another internet source like a hotspot, wired connection or moving closer to the WiFi
4. Pause/Stop other things using the internet. (Streams, music, etc)
5. If this still doesn't work, try again in an hour and hope your connection is stable

Only thing you need to use in the cf app to play minecraft is a legit copy of minecraft java edition. The app should handle the rest.

You can "delete" projects, but they dont fully delete, they just get removed from public view. Would have to open a ticket to do more then thay

Since neither have files you shouldnt run into "dupe files" issues, Plus till a project is approved its invisible to the public. Only the owner can make it.

technically no 2 projects can share the same project slug. But weirder things have happened. So part of me wonders if it sees the identical projects as the same but different.

Other option: Make a change in your pack, then export again then upload the new changes

You have to upload a file to the project for it to be approved. Fileless projects dont enter the approval cue.
