As a player, I was using CurseForge from before Modrinth was established as a proper competitor, and there weren’t many mods on there yet. So over time, I got used to playing with CurseForge and having my preferences there, so now using Modrinth feels weird.
There’s mods that are only on CurseForge or only on Modrinth, that’s up to the developers of said mods, unfortunately you’re gonna lose some either way. Both platforms are great now and there’s not a real “better” one objectively, it’s just up to preference.
As a creator, I massively prefer CurseForge. My mods on Modrinth perform significantly worse and the revenue I receive is laughable at. CurseForge was able to let me grow and give me more opportunities.
