Well I was dead yesterday because I was playing Minecraft All day lol

And I was lucid dreaming

shoving 16 speakerss in my ears is almost as good as apple airpods

just without any of the fancy features

also no bluetooth or battery

also no noise canceling

doing so for an 8th of the cost is actally good assuming audio quality is all that matters

maybe i should add batteries and bluetoothg

the idea is that they are lower quality speakers but that since they are mass produced so much they are signficantly cheaper where the speakers are just combined in order to improve audio fidelity by just increasing the amount of speaks

kinda like an artifical surround sound but directly right next to your ears

what if i proposed small single driver full range speakers > that

some do it that way "near field" is what it's called. just put em right on either side of you up close, because they act more like point sources it has good effective sound staging

that works but also means that for the price its hard to achieve the same level of audio quality

but theres some downsides to just spamming speakers

for some people it feels extremely uncomfortable and for some people they cant wear it for even an hour

but i dont have those problems so for me it works out

depends - for example the Fostex 3" Fe83En drivers in my speakers are pretty cheap but really nice

and all i care about is audio quality anyways so its a big savings for me instead of just paying for premium audio

the way i have my modpack configured a even weak shader makes quite a bit more lag than normal since i modified some stuff that affects chunk rendering and updating\

i made it this way to squeeze out as much performance as possible

but it sacrificcies a lot of performance when you try to readd shaders

in order to boost performance when you dont have shaders\

sacrifices were made

and the use of built in lighting through a series of lighting mods isnt half bad

in terms of lag these are the laggiest in my modpack

• chunk rendering second

ill think ill focus more on adding new cities content and perhaps adding more to terrian generation if anything

The way minecraft java edition works is it takes and holds the resources you give it, and does not share with the rest of the pc.

I.E: If you have 16gb of ram total, and allocate 8gb to the first modpack, your pc will have 8gb total when you run the pack.

If you then tried to run a second pack at the same time with the same ram, your pc would have 0gb usable ram and bluescreen.

with the zombie apoc though im going to add a ton of engineering mods and way more exploration stuff in order to add more and new content

and im shifting to not just pve but also pvp

i already have full gun based pvp mechanics

but you could start entire factions and control entire planets unirocally

you can directly fly into space and will have to make crucial resupply and ground infrustructre in order to refuel and rearm

its going to be so sick and if you really wanted you could unirocally launch satalites and space stations

its planning to be a massive update at some point

but the whole engineering and space stuff is far off for now

there is a standalone version of the app that doesn't - it only supports minecraft, WoW, and Sims
