Hard to say why its being like this. I did see that chrome did have a recent security update. Could be an over protective update. Or something else is going on. Maybe something to due with how the jar travels in the Zip.

As mods that are not from the CF site get put into the Overrides/mods folder in the zip. Where CF mods are put in the manifest file and downloaded again on pack install
