they really need better AI
something like a donut around the player
the donut hole would be the avoidance area
and the donut body would be their work area

you could fine tune it like you can with nanodrones
pick the min and max distance
something like 0.5km - 2.5km default
maybe one more fine tune option for how far away from the player they are allowed to use their mikes

and if you have >1 NT they would split the donut and try to stay away from each other
if you have more than 2 NTs it would split the circle like a pizza pie
and they would dynamically stay in their respective slices
it doesn't have to rotate with the player but they can slowly adjust to the players movement

that would make NT TITAN carrier work actually
maybe you could tune the pizza pie algorithm too, letting >1 stay in one slice and how many slices there are

They already have a donut around the player, but that radius is 30m, which I suppose you expect to not be big enough?

That is what they are trying to maintain when you tell them to hold formation.

I dont tell them to hold formation, I tell them to prospect

30m for formation is pretty crazy to me but I never use that command, I am not sure why you would want to do that
